New studies have proven that midwifery care is just as safe as or safer than hospital care. See the CPM 2000 Study. Certified Professional Midwives have gone through rigorous training with the North American Registry of Midwives. For more information on this training, go to the NARM website. If you're looking for a wonderful, natural alternative for your childbearing years, I now offer my services to the North Central part of rural Texas. I am based in Comanche County and serve approximately a 50-mile radius. Counties served include: Bosque, Brown, Callahan, Coleman, Comanche, Eastland, Erath, Hamilton, Hood, Mills, Palo Pinto, Parker, Shackelford, Somervell, and Stephens. I mainly serve in the Stephenville and Brownwood areas. If you are in an area close to mine, but outside 50 miles, I may still consider serving you, depending on the length of time of your previous labors, and other factors. I will adjust my fee to cover increased travel. I personally know how hard it is to find a caregiver in rural Texas, and that is part of the reason I am a midwife here.
